A delightful traditional farmhouse situated in quiet countryside yet only short drive to the village of Prayssac and 25Km of the Lot Capital Cahors.Built in 1902 this former Tobacco farm has four bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms/shower rooms.Each bedroom has been modernised and decorated to a comfortable standard.Tea/coffee, free linen and towels are supplied.The property is set in 15 acres and has its own 10 x 5 metre swimming Pool, large sun terrace and sun beds.The bedrooms comprise the Rose bedroom, double bed, wardrobe, dresser, bedside tables and hair dryer.

The property is located in the Lot valley surrounded by vineyards.Cahors wine it refered to the black wine and excellent with meat meals or by its own.The Lot River offers fishing,canoeing/kayaking,nature walks.The Capital Cahors has a excellent market and shops for all taste.There are plenty of fine resturants both in Cahors and surrounding villages, horse riding and many sports are popular past times.The Lot has a history going back to Richard the Lion Heart and to prehistoric man.Places of interest include saint-cirq-Lapopie, magnificent medieval village clinging to the cliffs on the Lot River.Pech-Merle cave,hundreds of prehistoric wall paintings.Penne-A'Agenais,pretty small town on a hilltop full of artist workshops.

You can reach La Maison Rose by train or by car.Trains operate from Paris and stop at Cahors some 25km distance.Transport can be available to collect guest subject to advance notification.Car hire is available from the nearest Airports Bergerac and Toulouse.By car follow A20 towards Cahors then D911 towards Mercues then Castlefranc.Continue on D911 to Prayssac.Head North on D67 for 1.5km. Right signed Goujounac D172 for 1km.La Maison Rose is on the right pass sign of Niaudon, 300 metres.

Informations about the meals/restaurants:

We can provide four course evening meals with aperitif and wine included for 23 Euros per person.We require 24 hour notice for evening meals and guest will be advised of the menu each day. Vegetarian meals can be provided and special meal requirements provided we are given reasonable notice.
